How do I sign up for IrishMathsTutor AI?

Click "Start Free Trial" on any page, fill in your details (name, email, exam year, maths level), and you're ready to start. No credit card required for the 7-day trial. You'll be guided through a quick demo session to learn how the platform works.

What happens after the 7-day free trial?

After 7 days, you'll be prompted to choose a plan (monthly at €50 or annual at €450). If you don't select a plan, your account remains active but you won't be able to start new sessions. All your session history and progress is saved.

Do I need any special equipment?

You need a device with a camera, microphone, and internet connection. We recommend using a laptop or tablet for the best experience (larger screen for the whiteboard). Mobile works but is better for quick questions rather than full 60-minute sessions.

Is IrishMathsTutor AI suitable for all Leaving Cert levels?

Yes! The AI tutor is trained on Foundation, Ordinary, and Higher Level content. During sign-up, you select your level and the AI tailors all explanations, practice questions, and past papers to your specific syllabus.

How does a tutoring session work?

Click "Start Session" and you're instantly connected with the AI tutor via voice. You can:

Show exam questions using your camera or screen share

Interrupt anytime to ask questions
Request different explanation approaches if you don't understand

Sessions are capped at 60 minutes but you can start unlimited sessions per month.

Can I use past paper questions in sessions?

Absolutely! Show the question to your camera and the AI transcribes it to the whiteboard (takes 15-20 seconds for verification). Or browse our organized library of past paper questions by topic—click any question to start a tutoring session directly from it.

Are my sessions recorded?

Yes! Every session is automatically recorded and saved to your dashboard organized by topic. You can rewatch the video, view whiteboard snapshots, read AI-generated summaries, and access practice recommendations. Sessions are auto-deleted after 12 months for privacy.

What if I don't understand the AI's explanation?

Just say so! The AI will try different approaches: simplified explanations, visual representations, real-world examples, or alternative methods. You can ask the same question 10 different ways without judgment. The AI remembers which explanation style works best for you and prioritizes that in future sessions.

Can parents see my sessions?

Sessions are student-private by default. You can choose to share specific sessions with parents if you want, but they don't have automatic access. This creates a judgment-free learning environment where you can ask any question without embarrassment.

Monthly: €50/month with unlimited sessions
Annual: €450/year (€37.50/month effective) - save €150 per year

Both plans include all features: unlimited 60-minute sessions, 24/7 access, all Leaving Cert levels, session recordings, past papers, and progress tracking.

What does "unlimited sessions" actually mean?

You can start as many tutoring sessions as you need throughout the month—there's no cap. Each individual session can last up to 60 minutes. So whether you need help once a week or every day, you're covered by the same €50/month price.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime! Go to your account settings and cancel with one click—no phone calls, no hassle. Your cancellation stops all future charges immediately. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?

Absolutely! You can pause your subscription for up to 3 months without losing your account, session history, or progress data. No charges during the pause period. Resume whenever you're ready. Perfect for summer breaks or exam periods when you don't need help.

Do you offer refunds?

All sales are final after the 7-day free trial period. That's why we offer the trial—so you can thoroughly test the platform and make sure it's right for you before paying. During the trial, you have full access to all features with no credit card required.

Can multiple students share one account?

Each subscription is designed for one student. The AI tutor personalizes to individual learning patterns, remembers what works for each student, and tracks progress individually. Sharing an account would compromise the personalized learning experience that makes IrishMathsTutor AI effective.

What devices does IrishMathsTutor AI work on?

IrishMathsTutor AI is web-based and works on laptops, tablets, and smartphones. We recommend using a laptop or tablet for full tutoring sessions (better for 60-minute sessions with large whiteboard visibility). Mobile works well for quick questions or reviewing session history.

What if I have technical problems during a session?

Use the in-session "Report Problem" button which captures your session context. Check our status page to see if issues are systemic or specific to your connection. Email [email protected] with technical failures (video not working, AI unresponsive) and we'll respond within 24 hours.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes! We're fully GDPR compliant:

Session content is stored for your learning, not used to train AI models
Sessions auto-delete after 12 months for privacy
You can request full data deletion anytime
Sessions are student-private (parents don't have automatic access)
All data transmission is encrypted

What if the AI makes a mistake?
